Hyderabad: A fire broke out in a bus full of pilgrims in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh. In this incident, 12 passengers were severely scorched. All passengers on the bus were residents of Uttarakhand. This bus was going from Puri to Rameswaram. In Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, a bus filled with devotees collided with a lorry coming from the front, after which a fire broke out in it. As soon as the fire started, the devotees started jumping out of the bus.

The passengers injured in this incident were admitted to the hospital in Vizianagaram for treatment. There were 48 passengers sitting in the bus, out of which 12 were injured. No casualties were reported in the incident. Pilgrims have told that they left Haldwani on December 26 to visit the religious pilgrimage sites located in South India by the bus of Sukhanchal Tour and Travels Company.

The devotees collided with a local bus on the highway about 60 km before Visakhapatnam around 7 am Sunday. The accident was so horrific that the bus caught fire. After this, the local people broke the glass of the bus together and took out the pilgrims. All the pilgrims on board the bus have burnt to ashes in the fire.
