Amritsar: The Election Commission of India (ECI) had announced the schedule for assembly elections in five states last Saturday. With this, model code of conduct has come into force in all electoral states. But a case of alleged violation of the Code of Conduct in Punjab has come to light. In fact, pamphlets were distributed to the people of the state on Sunday in the name of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

This is the first case of violation of election code of conduct in Patiala Dehat (Patiala Dehat). The returning officer has since sent a notice to the AAP seeking a response. The party will have to respond in a week. The returning officer has also warned that if the reply is not filed within a week, strict action will be taken. Darsal, Pamphlet says, ''saaree paartiyaan to paise lao, par vot jhaadoo noo dao!'' Tell me, this is the same joomla that AAP national president Arvind Kejriwal has said in many elections in the past. There has also been an uproar over it.

Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa will go to polls in the same phase on February 14, while Manipur will go to polls in two phases on February 27 and March 3. Uttar Pradesh has been voted in seven phases (February 10, February 14, February 20, February 23, February 27, March 3 and March 7). While the results of all electoral states will come on March 10.
