Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi quit the party and the reason behind the decision is because he was deprived of nomination for Rajya Sabha from the state claimed Congress.

Terming Jogi’s exit “good riddance,” the party also dubbed him as the “de facto chief minister of Chhattisgarh” who has “consistently sabotaged the Congress’ prospects to help” BJP’s Raman Singh retain power since 2003.

Congress general secretary in-charge of Chhattisgarh BK Hariprasad told reporters that, “He has saved us the trouble of expelling him, It is a good riddance.”
