Washington: A US government has stopped the use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) in the treatment of coronavirus. Many Indian companies like Cipla, Ipca, Zydus Cadila have received a major setback with this decision of America. The US drug regulator now says that no scientific evidence has been found to confirm that hydroxychloroquine is effective in treating corona infected people. Whereas before this, America was at the forefront of the use of hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of corona.

It was praised by the US President Donald Trump himself and he called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested to send a consignment of this medicine. Trump described it as a 'game-changer' in Corona's treatment. India had banned the export of this drug, even after showing humanitarianism, the US was allowed to export it. Not only this, after America, demand for hydroxychloroquine sulfate (HCQ) started coming in more than a dozen countries and India sent medicines to all countries.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the US has now warned that hydroxychloroquine should not be used with Remedicivir. Remadecivir is also an anti-malarial drug manufactured by an American company.
