NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah hoisted the national flag at his official residence in New Delhi as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' movement. This movement aims to have the Indian tricolor flag displayed at every home across the country. The campaign has gained momentum as it coincides with the ongoing celebrations of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' (the 75th anniversary of India's Independence) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During his visit to Gujarat's Ahmedabad, Shah inaugurated a 'Tiranga Yatra' and emphasized the significance of living for the country even after gaining independence. He noted that in 2022, on Independence Day, almost every household hoisted the tricolor flag, creating a unified sense of national pride. He expressed the vision that when every home displays the tricolor, the entire nation will embody the spirit of the flag.

The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is organized by the Ministry of Culture and is aimed at fostering patriotism among citizens. The campaign has transformed into a people's movement, with increased participation from the public. The tricolor rallies are being held in various parts of the country, witnessing substantial public engagement.

The central government's initiative seeks to enhance the sense of collaboration and involvement among the citizens, commemorating the essence of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The campaign encourages people to actively participate in showcasing their national pride by displaying the tricolor at their residences, contributing to a more united and patriotic India.
