Dharmendra Pradhan and Manmohan Samal, Odisha's BJP President, presided over the launch of the "Amrit Kalash Yatra" train at the Bhubaneswar railway station. This distinctive train has been introduced as a part of the "Meri Maati, Mera Desh" campaign, a celebration of India's soil and bravery.

Aparajita and Pratap Sarangi, two BJP MPs, along with various party MLAs, senior leaders, and railway officials, graced the inauguration ceremony.

Dharmendra Pradhan, speaking to the press on this auspicious day, remarked, "Today is a day of great significance." He underscored the mission's successful collection of soil from 13,250 villages in Odisha, including the birthplaces of all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation since Independence. Additionally, he announced that 1,400 individuals have embarked on their journey to Delhi, where an Amrut Vatika would be established upon the completion of the Amrit Mahotsav.

Approximately 1,400 representatives, encompassing all 314 blocks in Odisha, boarded a special train, gathering soil from homes throughout the state and delivering Amrit Kalash to the state party headquarters.

Earlier in the day, Dharmendra Pradhan and Manmohan Samal participated in the Amrit Kalash Yatra, commencing at the state party headquarters and culminating at the Bhubaneswar railway station.

On October 31, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the final event of the 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign in the national capital.

The "Meri Maati Mera Desh - Maati Ko Naman Veeron ka Vandan" initiative is a unified celebration of India's soil and valor, marking the culmination of the two-year-long Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. It has witnessed extensive public involvement, with engagement from over 7,000 blocks in 766 districts across the nation.

During the initial phase of the campaign, more than 2.33 lakh Shilaphalakams were constructed in 36 states and union territories. This phase also saw the posting of approximately 4 million Panch Pran pledge selfies and over 2 lakh Veeron ka Vandan events throughout the country. Additionally, more than 2.63 lakh Amrit Vatikas, following a Vasudha Vandan theme, were created, and over 2.36 crore indigenous saplings were planted.

The Amrit Kalash Yatras across the country aimed to reach every household during the second phase of Meri Maati Mera Desh. In urban areas, as well as over 6 lakh rural villages in India, communities contributed soil and rice grains for the collection. The collected soil was consolidated at the block level, transported to the state capital, and ultimately dispatched to the national capital by thousands of Amrit Kalash Yatris after a formal send-off.

Before the commencement of the 'Amrit Kalash Yatra' to New Delhi, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the 'Meri Mati Mera Desh' initiative.
