Another Anjali-like incident, medical student dragged away by truck and then...

Jabalpur: A tragic accident took place on Wednesday night on the way from Bhedaghat to Tilwara on National Highway 34. A speeding truck hit the motorcycle. The motorcycle was being driven by a medical student. The man fell away after being hit by the truck, while the girl medical student got stuck in the truck. Due to this, the truck driver also increased the speed of the truck to escape and the girl kept rubbing with the truck for about 50 meters.  

In this incident, the body of the girl was badly injured. The student died on the spot. At the same time, the injured student has been admitted to the medical hospital. Police are looking for the truck driver. Angered by this incident, medical students gathered in the hospital in large numbers. A police force was also deployed in the medical college.

Garha police station in-charge Rakesh Tiwari said Ruby Thakur, a resident of Shahdol, and Saurabh Ojha, a resident of Rewa, were third-year MBBS students at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College. On Wednesday night, Saurabh and Ruby had gone toward Tilwara. At around 10 pm, both of them were returning on a motorcycle. Saurabh was coming on a motorcycle while taking the service road going towards Tilwara from the Bhedaghat bypass intersection. There was also a truck coming from Bhopal to Nagpur on the same road. Saurabh and Ruby had just reached the intersection when a speeding truck hit the motorcycle. With the collision, Saurabh fell away with the motorcycle. Ruby fell to the other side and her body got stuck in the truck. The truck driver tried to drive the vehicle away after the incident. Due to this, she was trapped in the truck and was dragged for about fifty meters, her body was completely mutilated. She was bleeding profusely and died on the spot due to severe injuries to her head and entire body. There was blood all around lying on the road for about 50 meters. The truck driver fled from the spot after the incident. The case is now being investigated by the police.
