Visakhapatnam: While the world is making new experiments in the field of science, India still has superstitious incidents that shock everyone. One such case has come from Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.  Where superstition led to the killing of 2 daughters by parents. The incident happened Sunday night in Madanpalle town of Chittoor district.

The girls have been identified as Alekha (27 years) and Sai Divya (22). The family lived in the Shivalam Temple Street in Madanpalle. It is alleged that the mother attacked both the daughters with a dumble. Mother Padmaja and father Purushottam Naidu are both principals at a school. The elder girl, Akhila, had received a master's degree from Bhopal, while the younger girl Sai Divya had studied BBA.

According to information in media reports, when the police questioned the accused couple, they said that the two girls would be alive as the sun would grow, as the ' Kalyug ' would be destroyed and the ' Golden Age ' would start from Monday.  After receiving information about the incident, the police have taken the husband and wife into custody and sent the bodies of both the girls for postmortem.
