Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with Telugu Desam Party Member of Parliament on Friday at Amravati. The meeting was held before the second phase of budget session starts in the Parliament on March 05.

Naidu said that Andhra Pradesh is suffering after four years of the state was bifurcated and Telangana came into existence.

“Even after four years of bifurcation, Andhra Pradesh is suffering. Congress faced the wrath of people as they did injustice, now people are thinking if BJP will fo the low same course. We accepted special assistance as center said there are problems with Special Category Status,” said Naidu in the meeting.

Further, he expressed his discontentment over Central Government not granting Special Status to Andhra Pradesh, however, it has granted special status to other states. He said the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act should be fully implemented to make the state financially stable.

“Centre is giving Special Category Status (SCS) to other states. How? In such a case, we too need SCS. YSRCP is speaking of SCS, but leaving rest 18 points. SCS alone is not enough, all points in the act must be implemented. Only then Andhra Pradesh will be financially stable,” said Naidu.

The meet was organised after Andhra Pradesh CM and MPs from the state were unhappy with allocation to Andhra Pradesh from Union Budget alleging injustice to Andhra Pradesh. They protested against this in the parliament and interrupted proceedings of parliament.
