Arun Gaikwad, the musician who is setting new limits for the youth of today

Arun Gaikwad is a tabla artist born on 12th August 1982 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He lost his father at a young age resulting in poor economic conditions. Arun was forced to leave his studies and at the young age of 13, he started to work towards earning for his family. He soon met his guru who helped him to learn tabla. His financial status restricted him from buying his tabla; however, with his family's support, he was given a brand new tabla. His interest in tabla and the love that he developed for the instrument was soon recognized. 

He started getting multiple projects where he was able to gain experience. His projects were mostly Bhajan’s, Santwani, and Dayro with organizers like Bhajanik Laxman Barot, Lokgayak – Kirtidan Gadhvi, Osman Mir, Tejdan Gadhvi, and many more. The demand for his work was mostly in Gujarat, Mumbai and he even got an opportunity to visit Malaysia for an international show. In 2011 he started his full-fledged foreign shows in the USA during Navaratris and Diwalis.

His interest in Bollywood also got him projects to play at Bollywood nights. He even trained himself in playing Dholak, Dhol, Cajon, Congo, Djeme, Darbuka, and Handsonic. Alongside music, he is believed to be a spiritual person leading him to also play in places like Aashrams in front of Saints and Sadhu Mahatmas. He even got an opportunity to play in front of Shree Morari Bapu, the Indian Spiritual Leader and the world-famous narrator of Shree Ram Katha. Being an amazing percussionist he also is an active YouTube personality entertaining his listeners online. Arun has also been highly active on Instagram performing on many dhol combinations and uploading them on different occasions.
