Harshita Kejriwal, daughter of Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal, is studying from IIT. Apart from this, Pulkit is also an IIT student. While wife Sunita Kejriwal is an IRS officer. But he has taken VRS from his job. Arvind Kejriwal has contested from New Delhi Assembly seat for the third time. Arvind Kejriwal has been contesting from this assembly seat since 2013. In 2013, Arvind Kejriwal defeated former Delhi Chief Minister and Congress leader Sheila Dixit by about 26 thousand votes from this seat.
In 2015, Arvind Kejriwal once again came down from this seat. This time he faced Nupur Sharma of BJP. AAP candidate Arvind Kejriwal defeated Nupur Sharma by 32 thousand votes. Arvind Kejriwal has once again submitted his candidature from this seat.
