Reports of attacks on health workers investigating the coronavirus in the country have come out from every region. To prevent such incidents, the government has made violence with health workers and security personnel a non-bailable offence. Also, those who do so can be punished for seven years. But still, such incidents are not coming down.

One such case has been seen in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh, where a man of the village was abused by the health department team who went to investigate people in Nargunda village. Because of which the team had to return without investigation. After this, the team lodged a complaint with the police about the incident. It was told that the Health Department team got information that some people have come from outside in the village, after which the team went with Asha workers to investigate them. Meanwhile, a young man from the village, Rajendra Ahirwar, committed indecency with the team. He beat up an ASHA worker and also pushed her.

ASHA worker Ramadevi Ahirwar has told that the young man hit her and pulled her hair. After this, the accused protested. It has been reported that this incident is on 29 April. A police officer of Tikamgarh Rural, M Farooqui said that Rajendra Ahirwar, an accused, has been arrested for assaulting and abusing an ASHA worker who went for medical examination in Nargunda village.
