Assam: Drug peddler arrested with Yaba tablets worth Rs 1.30 crore

In a joint operation in south Assam's Karimganj district, Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers and Assam police seized drugs worth Rs 1.30 crore.

A joint operation was conducted by troops from seven BSF battalions and Karimganj district police in response to specific information about drug smuggling. Later, officials seized a car that was transporting the illegal drugs.

During the raids, a drug dealer was detained. According to sources, 26,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 1.30 crore were recovered in the car during a check. A case has been filed, and further investigations are being carried out.
