Chandigarh: Former Congress MLA in Punjab Sanjay Talwar has given a written complaint to the Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner alleging that the land mafia is trying to grab 1.50 acres of land in Puneet Nagar (ward number 15). Congress leader Sanjay Talwar has claimed that the land was allotted for the construction of a government school during the previous Congress government. President of Ludhiana Congress District Committee (Urban) Sanjay Talwar also wrote in his letter that the mafias have also broken the foundation stone of the school established during the previous Congress government. He has requested the Deputy Commissioner initiate legal action against the alleged land mafia, who are trying to grab the school land, and ensure that the construction of the school building is started at the earliest.

Congress leader Talwar has written in his complaint to the Deputy Commissioner that 'the piece of land where the government primary school was about to be built is being captured by the land mafia.' During the previous Congress government, the land was transferred in the name of the education department, and the foundation stone was also laid for the school, which was to be built by the Ludhiana Improvement Trust. According to the latest market price, this land is worth Rs 8–10 crore, and now the land mafia is plotting to capture it.

Sanjay Talwar wrote in his letter that the mafias have also broken the foundation stone of the school kept during our government. This is happening because the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has failed to start the construction of the school, and now some criminals are trying to grab the prime land, which has already been transferred to the education department. ' Talwar said, 'The ownership of this land was transferred to the education department, and the Ludhiana Improvement Trust was to construct a government primary smart school for Rs 3 crore. But the present government has so far failed to start the construction of the project.
