New Delhi: The security arrangements in Delhi are still very strict in the wake of the uproar which started under the guise of a tractor rally on Republic Day. A large number of police and paramilitary forces have been deployed. Several routes have also been closed today. Ghazipur Mandi, NH-9 and NH-24 have been closed for traffic movement. People coming from Delhi to Ghaziabad are being advised to go to Shahdara, Karkari More and DND.

As per the information received, security has also been further enhanced at Singhu border where farmers are agitating. It has been revealed that the tractor rally of farmers on Republic Day in protest against agricultural laws turned into a nuisance. Sabotage and violence took place in several areas of the capital. In a ruckus, the troublemaker climbed up to the ramparts of the Red Fort. Unfurled the flag on the flag pillar and made anti-country slogans.

On the other hand, miscreants pelted stones at the police and have seen stunts from tractors for hours on the streets. The violence took place near Nangloi, Akshardham, Singhu border, Tikari border, Piragarhi, Nymph border, Mukarba Chowk, Azadpur Metro station and it caused the loss of property of crores of rupees.

In view of the deteriorating situation, police also attacked and lathi-charged, tear gas circles near Akshardham, Ito, Nagloi, Piragarhi, Singhu border, Apsara border, Mukarba Chowk, Azadpur metro station. So far 83 farmers and 230 policemen have been injured in the incident. A farmer lost his life by reversing the tractor while performing stunts on the route named Ranvir, who was the resident of Uttarakhand.
