Piaggio Vehicles India has announced the launch of its first electric 3-wheeler Piaggio App Electric in the country. Piaggio App Electric is going to launch on December 18. For the first time in India, Piaggio is going to introduce its commercial electric 3-wheeler. The company says that the electric 3-wheeler will revolutionize the commercial vehicle sector.

The company will also build a fast-charging station to charge electric vehicles. The discharge battery at these stations will be replaced by a new battery in just 2 minutes. Technology with swap batteries will save time to charge the battery. The discharge battery will be charged into the station for reuse.

Like other app 3-wheelers, App Electric will also be launched in both the cargo and passenger carrier segments. Lithium-ion batteries will be used in the App Electric 3-Wheeler. Upcoming electric vehicles will be equipped with a smart swappable battery with advanced lithium ion technology. The new smart battery will improve vehicle performance with better pickup and mileage.
