Ayodhya: Ramnagri Ayodhya, the sacred city in Uttar Pradesh, is undergoing extensive preparations for the consecration of Lord Ramlala on January 25, 2024. The state government, led by Yogi Adityanath, is actively working on various initiatives to boost the city's development. Notably, Ayodhya is set to be transformed into the country's first Vedic self-reliant city, with the aid of advanced AI technology.

AI Technology for Development:
The Ayodhya Development Authority has entered into an agreement with Gurugram-based company Arahas Technologies to implement this vision. Arahas Technologies will establish the city's inaugural Vedic City Sustainable Index platform utilizing AI. This platform will provide crucial insights into the city's resources and its preparedness to accommodate growing demands.

Sustainability Planning and Index:
With over 24 lakh cases in Ayodhya district, the technology will assess potential impacts on the city's environment and resources, particularly in anticipation of the influx of pilgrims following the construction of the Ram temple. The Sustainability Index's reports will inform the government's strategic planning to ensure the well-being of local residents amid increased footfall.

Real-time Monitoring and Civic Development:
AI will facilitate an in-depth understanding of Ayodhya's environmental, social, and economic dynamics. The platform will enable real-time monitoring of civic development progress, the establishment of standards, and the formulation of city-friendly policies.

First Religious City with Sustainability Development Index (SDI):
Following the adoption of AI technology, Ayodhya will become the first religious city in India to release its Sustainability Development Index. This index aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision, meeting the expectations of the people.

Vedic Sustainable City Index Objectives:
The Vedic Sustainable City Index aims to preserve and revive the cultural heritage of Ayodhya while promoting spirituality, overall well-being, environmental management, and economic prosperity through ethical traditions and customs.

Investment and Project Phases:
Saurabh Rai, CEO of Arahas Technologies, disclosed that the project's initial phase requires an investment of approximately $1 million (Rs 8.33 crore), covered by Arahas Technologies. The release of the Vedic Sustainability City Index is scheduled for January 2024, with quarterly updates.

Vision for Ayodhya's Development:
Vishal Singh, Municipal Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the Ayodhya Development Authority, emphasized that the Vedic Sustainable City Index defines a visionary approach for Ayodhya's development. The city's progress will embody a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, aligning with Vedic principles.

Accelerating Development Measures:
CM Yogi Adityanath's government recently established the 'Ayodhya Dham Teerth Vikas Parishad,' a special board dedicated to accelerating the city's overall development through sustainable measures. Currently welcoming 35,000 to 50,000 pilgrims daily, Ayodhya anticipates a significant increase in footfall in the coming years.
