Recently, a case of crime has come to light in Nagpur where a college student has been gang-raped by forcibly drinking alcohol. The case is reported to be under Beltarodi police station. Police have now arrested the accused and the accused are Nikhil Somkuvar (25) and Vatan Gomkale (25). In this case, the victim is an 18-year-old girl, B.Com, a first-year student and lives with her mother and younger brother. She is familiar with a relative of the girl's mother and therefore she also recognizes him. Nikhil previously worked in Mumbai and after that, he came to Nagpur and is a manager at a private company.

She is said to have had a Facebook friendship with the student for three months and the friendship between the two grew. The girl's mother goes to school in the morning while the brother goes to school and on July 17, Nikhil came to the girl's house. He then grabbed the girl's hand and took her to the bedroom and raped the schoolgirl. The student was asked not to tell anyone, and the student agreed, which encouraged Nikhil. It is now alleged that at 1.30 p.m. on July 19, Nikhil accompanied his friend, Vatan Gomkale, and he had a beer bottle at the time.
