As we know Cricket is a popular game in India. There were many big players of cricket in India, but when it comes to the biggest legends, the name of Mahendra Singh Dhoni comes first. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born on 7 July 1981 in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Dhoni's father's name was Paan Singh, who was originally from Lovely village in Almora district of Uttarakhand.  But due to the job, he had to come to Ranchi with Mahendra Singh Dhoni's mother Devki. In 1997-98, he was selected as a wicketkeeper. In 2001, the then Division Manager of Railways selected Dhoni as the wicketkeeper of his team. In his early days, Dhoni used to bat aggressively with the tennis ball.  That is why he was called crazy Player in the locality.  For this reason, it did not take long for him to become an international cricketer.

Let us tell you that at the age of just 23, he played his first match as a wicket-keeper in Test cricket in 2004 and 2005.  When Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored his first ODI century against Pakistan, he also made the record of scoring the most runs by a wicketkeeper by playing an innings of 148 runs after that soon Dhoni showed his talent by playing a blistering innings of 183 runs against Sri Lanka. This day was the turning point for Dhoni's career, after which he never looked back. 

Team India won the World Twenty Twenty tournament held in the year 2007 under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, after which Dhoni became India's most successful captain by winning the 2011 World Cup title on Indian soil. On foreign tours of many countries including New Zealand, he showed his talent and efficient leadership by winning the series on his own soil. Under Mahi's captaincy, India achieved the highest position in all three formats of cricket.  The moments of victory with Dhoni's unbeaten 91 and six in the final match of the World Cup 2011 will be remembered for a long time. He was also adjudged man of the match for this match.

With this victory, India became the third team after the West Indies and the Kangaroo team to win two World Cups. Dhoni achieved many achievements on the basis of his game, for this he was also honored.  In the year 2008, he was awarded the Player of the Year award. Till that time Dhoni was the first Indian player to get this honor.

In the same year, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. First of all, Dhoni was given the status of speaker in the team of 11 players of the Dream Test team. The Indian cricket team won the World Cup title in 1983 under the leadership of Kapil Dev and in 2011 under the leadership of Dhoni. Yuvraj Singh was adjudged the Player of the Tournament for his excellent performance in this tournament. At that time Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the first player to be included in the list of influential people by Time magazine.  In the morale of the players of his team, can no one match his technique.  Dhoni made Chennai Super Kings the winner under his leadership thrice in the IPL.

Cricket is said to be the most watched sport in this era.  India got him as 'Dhoni Ratna' in the year 2004. Who was known as a wicketkeeper and aggressive batsman.  He played his first ODI against Bangladesh in the year 2004 and made his Test debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka. Now the time being we know he announced his retirement from every format of the game but still he is missed by every Indians.
