Assembly elections are going to be held in Bihar this year. In the meantime, CM Nitish Kumar has said that election dates can be announced in September. He asked the officials to work at a fast pace for the election. Earlier, Nitish Kumar had said on Thursday that if people give an opportunity to serve next time, then they will work to connect the villages as well as the state highways and national highways.

On Thursday, Nitish made this remark through the video conference while laying the foundation stone and inaugurating 14,405 schemes worth Rs 15192.88 crore for rural works. He said that he has already said that the next time if people again give an opportunity for service, they will arrange water for irrigation till every field. He told that we do not rule, we serve. Service is our religion.

Nitish said that under the seven-decision plan, every residence has been brought to a halt, and construction of a paved street drain and tap water scheme to every residence has been almost completed. Under the Tola Sampark Nishan Yojana, about 4,400 tolls were identified to be connected to paved roads, most of which have been connected. The Chief Minister said that rural roads are being widened. Plantation is being done along the road, due to increasing green cover, the road will be more well maintained. Traffic has been improved due to good construction of rural roads.
