Patna: In the third phase of Bihar, votes are to be cast in the assembly seats of Seemanchal area, where Muslims are in a decisive role. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who is dreaming of gaining his foothold in Bihar politics, is finding the political land of Seemanchal quite fertile, due to which the problems of the Grand Alliance have increased.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is following his father Lalu Prasad Yadav's footsteps following his own strategy to break the politics of Owaisi. Instead of directly attacking Owaisi, Tejashwi is calling him a BJP helper. Seemanchal consists of 24 assembly seats under the four districts of Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia and Katihar. Here Muslim voters are around 40 to 70%. This is why AIMIM has fielded 17 candidates in four districts of Seemanchal.
In Katihar-Araria-Purnia, three seats in Kishanganj are being contested by AIMIM candidate, for whom Asaduddin Owaisi is camping here to win and does not want to give up any core effort to woo Muslim voters. In the Seemanchal, issues like CAA, NRC and NPR are being discussed among all the claims and promises of development.
