Patna: Indiscriminate firing took place in the Mughalpura area of Babbarganj police station area of Bhagalpur district of Bihar on Monday. Zeba Khatun, wife of jailed history-sheeter Mohammad Imtiaz, along with her henchmen, entered the house of a man named Arif Mohammad and opened fire. Meanwhile, one bullet hit Arif's elder daughter Kajal, killing her. She was seven months pregnant.

According to the report, a few days ago, Imtiaz's henchmen Badshah and Rahmat had stopped Arif's son on the way and threatened him to ask his father to stop spying for the police. Otherwise, his entire family will be destroyed. Arif says he tried hard to convince Imtiaz's henchmen that he was not a police informer but a property dealing. There was also a dispute between the two over the same issue. According to Arif, Imtiaz's wife Jeba Khatun works as a drug smuggler.

On Monday (July 19, 2021), When Arif returned home with his wife after being told by Imtiaz's henchmen, Jeba Khatun threatened to come to his house with the henchmen shortly thereafter. He was accompanied by several people including Imtiaz's brother Intasar. As soon as they reached Arif's house, the men started firing. About 12 rounds were fired during this period. Arif's elder daughter Kajal sustained bullet injuries and was declared brought dead by doctors after being taken to the hospital.
