Darbhanga: A man was beaten to death by some men in an affair at Pandaul (Parol) Chowk in Bajitpur OP area of Darbhanga in Bihar at around 9 pm on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Abhishek Kumar Jha, the only son of Mithilesh Jha, a resident of Maunbehat.
 
It is said that six persons from Maunbehat village and some persons from Rasheedpur village of Adhaloam Panchayat of Behera police station were assaulted at night. Abhishek Kumar Jha was killed while Rahul Bhaskar and Shailesh Kumar Jha sustained severe injuries in the fight. Both were admitted to DMCH Hospital. Out of these, Rahul Bhaskar was referred to Patna as his condition was serious.
 
City SP Ashok Kumar Prasad, Benipur DSP Dr Kumar Sumit, Inspector Pawan Kumar Singh of Behera police station, SIT Inspector Madan Prasad, Behera Saheb Suresh Ram, SI Ranjit Kumar Chaudhary, Manigachi Saheb Rajnandan Kumar and Bajitpur OP in-charge Neeraj Kumar besides special security force women and male jawans rushed to the spot and investigated the incident. The spot is on the border of Behera police station and Bajitpur OP. Police from Behera police station rushed the injured to DMCH Hospital after the case. After which doctors in the hospital declared Abhishek Kumar Jha dead.
