Smuggler arrested in Bihar with heroin worth crores, had brought drugs consignment from Nepal

Patna: The graph of crime is increasing day by day in Bihar, the strictness of police and the claims of the state government are constantly failing. The latest case has come from the Valmiki Nagar police station area of West Champaran district of Bihar. Here, a smuggler with armed kilogram of 500 kg heroin has been detained by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel. At present, the police are interrogating the arrested smuggler.

While giving information to the media on Friday, an SSB official said that the SSB personnel were searching vehicles near the Nardevi temple near Valmiki Nagar jungle late Thursday. At the same time, a young man was coming from Nepal. One and a half kilograms of heroin were recovered from the youth after searching. Heroines were hidden in different amounts in a plastic pouch.

Police have said that the recovered heroin is being reported in the international market for about Rs 1.5 crore. SSB jawans have taken the young man into custody and are interrogating him. The youth arrested so far has been identified as Stephen Kharia of Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. Currently, the police is trying to find out from where the smuggler had brought heroin and where he was going to supply.
