Patna: Political elections are being started for the elections for the five Rajya Sabha seats of Bihar. Three Rajya Sabha seats are coming to the NDA account while the possibility of getting two seats to the Grand Alliance is being expressed. The tussle between the RJD and Congress has also intensified regarding these two seats. The RJD wants to keep both the seats of Rajya Sabha with them, but the Congress has increased the tension of the Grand Alliance by claiming one seat.

Two candidates are considered for the Rajya Sabha of the Congress from Bihar. Congress has put forward Shakti Singh Gohil and Shatrughan Sinha to take a seat from the RJD. RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has to decide on the Rajya Sabha seat, in view of this, the Congress is reminding the old promises to the RJD.

Congress in-charge of Bihar Shakti Singh Gohil has sent a letter to the RJD to fulfill its promise. Gohil has said, 'At the time of the Lok Sabha elections, the RJD had assured the Congress of 9 seats beside one seat of Rajya Sabha. Now when the time has come, it is being sought. It is the duty of a good man to know but not to promise. Hope the RJD fulfills its promise.'
