Lucknow: The BJP's Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting for the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh held three-and-a-half hours of brainstorming on 172 seats related to the first three phases on Thursday. Out of the 113 seats in the first two phases, 94 candidates have been named in the meeting. At the same time, tickets of about a dozen MLAs have been cut. Party chief JP Nadda will decide the candidate in the rest of the 19 seats.

According to the information, the names of the candidates may be announced tomorrow i.e. Saturday. JP Nadda, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari were virtually involved in the meeting due to corona infection. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, CEC member and CM Yogi Adityanath, BJP state president Swatanter Dev Singh, deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya were also present. PM Narendra Modi also attended the meeting virtually.

According to media reports, the party has decided in the meeting that CM Yogi Adityanath, both deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, state president Swatanter Dev Singh will also play a role in this election riots. According to media reports, CM Yogi Adityanath may enter the fray from Ayodhya. Keshav Prasad Maurya may be fielded from a seat in Sirathu, and Dinesh Sharma from Lucknow.
