Shimla: The government has restored the nightly transport service which has been closed for almost six months due to COVID-19 epidemic on three routes in the country's state of Himachal Pradesh. From Saturday, night transport service will start from Chamba, Manali and Dharamshala for Shimla. Transport Minister Bikram Singh has confirmed this.

Bikram Thakur told that daily bus will operate from Chamba at 5 pm and from Shimla at 6:30 pm on the Chamba-Shimla-Chamba route. Similarly, the bus will be operated from Manali at 7 pm and from Shimla at 8 pm on the Manali-Shimla-Manali route. Apart from this, the bus will operate from Dharamshala at 9:30 pm and from Shimla at 9:30 pm on Dharamshala-Shimla-Dharamshala route.

Transport Minister said that in view of various functions, there is movement of people from different parts of the state to Shimla. Therefore, night bus service is being started on three routes from the capital Shimla. The operation of night buses from other areas will also be started soon. He further said that instructions have been issued to the regional and sub-divisional manager of the corporation to make hand sanitizer, mask, gloves and face shield regularly available to the employees. They have also been asked to ensure strict adherence to the guidelines issued by the state government with a view to protect the corona of the passengers. With this, all safety rules will be followed.
