Azamgarh: In Azamgarh city of Uttar Pradesh, miscreants fired indiscriminately during the panchayat on Friday. A young man was seriously injured by two bullets. He was first brought to CHC Hospital, Akharula, then to the District Hospital. Later referred to Varanasi in a critical condition. It is reported that the panchayat was taking up the issue of mobile snatching.

Parvendar Yadav, a resident of Abyapur village under the Akharula police station area, was doing irrigation work in his field on December 9. In the meantime, two youths snatched their mobile. The incident of mobile hiding was seen by 32-year-old Durgvijay, a resident of the village. The panchayat was called in the village on Friday morning over the incident of hiding. Some people from the village of Parvendar and some of the villagers were questioning the mobile snatchers from Durgvijay during the panchayat.

In the meantime, two young men rode bikes and rushed to the spot. The youngsters started firing indiscriminately as soon as they arrived. A total of five bullets were fired. Two bullets were flashed to Durgvijay which stirred up on the spot. Meanwhile, the attackers escaped. The injured were immediately taken to CHC Akharula, where doctors sent him to the District hospital. Doctors from the District hospital referred to Varanasi. Four cases have been registered against the incident.
