New Delhi: Congress leader and former Home Minister of the country P. Chidambaram was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) last night after a nearly 31-hour drama. At present, after the first round of interrogation, the former Finance Minister has been kept in the guest house of the CBI headquarters. Chidambaram will be produced before a special CBI court at Rause Avenue in Delhi at around 2 pm today from where the CBI will try to take him into custody.

Chidambaram's bail appeal will also be made, but first let us tell you that how was the Chidambaram's first night in CBI custody. Chidambaram's night at the CBI headquarters was cut off in a very difficult situation, which was inaugurated by him himself in April 2010. After a medical checkup, 73-year-old Chidambaram was placed in the CBI Guest House Suite No.5. The guesthouse is on the ground floor of the CBI headquarters. That is where the interrogation started. The CBI team had already prepared a long list of questions for questioning of Chidambaram. After the first round of interrogation, Chidambaram was left in the guest house suit number five on the first floor of the CBI headquarters and returned to the CBI officials.
