New Delhi: The body of an auditor working in the central government has been found in the Jaitpur area of south-east Delhi. The deceased, Anand Singh (43), a resident of Sweetpur, were employed in the audit posted in the receipt and dispatch section of the Directorate General of Central Expenditure.
Police suspect Singh was killed by unidentified assailants at Friday and Saturday's intervention. Officials said Singh's brother found his body and reported it to the police at around 5 a.m. on Saturday morning. He also told the police that Singh had returned home late from work after meeting his colleague. Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmay Biswal said that he rushed to the spot and found bruises with knives on the back of the deceased.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, the official said. The official said, the body was post-mortem at AIIMS, after which the body was handed over to the family members. Singh's 16-year-old son, Pradeep, told police that his mother woke him up at about 3 a.m. and told him that his father was blood-soaked.
