A minor girl in Gorakhpur's Ghagha area ate poison after being raped. The girl has been admitted to hospital and her condition is stated to be stable. According to sources, the girl went missing on Monday and when she reached home on Tuesday, she told family members that she was abducted by neighbour Modasir Ansari on the pretext of marrying Gajpur market and raped her with the help of his friends. She later tried to end her life by eating poison, she said.
