Dehradun: Heli service for Kedarnath Dham will be operated on October 1. A proposal has been sent by the Department of Civil Aviation to the Devasthanam Management Board for the introduction of the Heli service. 200 e-pass for Heli service will be issued daily to pilgrims. Those unable to walk for the darshan of Kedarnath Dham will get the Heli service facility from October 1.

The civil aviation department has made preparations for the same. 9 aviation companies have been sanctioned from Guptakashi, Sirsi and Fata helipads. The DGCA will inspect the safety standards at helipads at all three places before conducting the Heli service. It is not possible to operate Heli service to Kedarnath due to bad weather for some time in the near future.

Same Devasthanam Board CEO Ravinath Raman said that a proposal has been received to operate the Heli service for Kedarnath from October 1. In which 200 e-passes will be issued to people going through the Heli service. State that earlier booking of 1100 Heli service was cancelled to ban Chardham yatra. Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Authority had returned the money to the booking people. Local devotees along with all the regions of the country are also reaching the big figures for the darshan of Baba Kedar. 631 devotees from Sonprayag left for Dham till 4 pm on Monday while 789 devotees earned the virtue of darshan.
