China beats Korea in AFC Women's Asian Cup

China has also won the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2022 title by defeating the Korean football team in a dramatic manner. In the title clash played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, eight-time champions China made a strong comeback after falling behind and after 16 years, have once again written their name on the title.  

China was trailing 0-2 until half-time in the match, but after which the former champion came back strongly and won the match 3-2 and has also managed to win the trophy for the record 9th time. For Korea, Cho Yuri was the first to score his first goal in the 27th minute. After which Ji So-Yun has also scored the second goal to give Korea a strong lead.

However, after which China came back strongly and first of all Tang Jiali opened the team's account by scoring in the 68th minute. After four minutes, Zhang Linyan scored the second goal in the 72nd minute to level the team. After this, China took the winning lead by scoring the third goal in the 93rd minute in extra time. Earlier, China defeated Japan 4-3 in a penalty shootout in a thrilling match in the semi-finals.
