Citadel, starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden, has been officially renewed by Prime Video for a second season before the season ends. The actor encouraged fans to view all of the series' episodes that are currently airing online as he announced the good news on Instagram. All of the episodes of season two will be directed by director Joe Russo, while David Weil will serve as the showrunner for the second time.

The first episode of the show, which also stars Lesley Manville and Stanley Tucci, is available to watched on Prime Video for free anywhere in worldwide. Citadel is the fourth most watched new original series on Prime Video worldwide and the second most watched outside the US, after LOTR: Rings of Power, according to the streaming platform.

In this series Priyanka represented Nadia Sinh, an agent whose memory was erased after the worldwide intelligence agency Citadel was brought down by a syndicate called Manticore. She is joined by another spy, Mason Kane (Richard), who requests her assistance in stopping Manticore. Citadel is already available on Prime Video in Italian and Indian languages. The Indian series, directed by Raj and DK, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. According to Deadline, filming for the second season will be move to California.
