Bhopal: Islamnagar, located near the capital of Madhya Pradesh, was recently renamed as Jagdishpur. After the name change, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited this village and inaugurated the nameplate named Jagdishpur. During this, the Chief Minister said that the memorials of the kings will now be built at the place where the massacre took place 308 years ago. Through this, the lost glory of Jagdishpur will be restored. A master plan will also be prepared for this.

After changing the name, he was welcomed on the first arrival of the Chief Minister. During this, the Chief Minister told MP Pragya Thakur and the local MLA that this village should be developed so much that in the coming times, this village should be known as an example of development. In his address after laying the foundation stone, the Chief Minister also mentioned the incident of 1715 in Jagdishpur. Along with this, the Chief Minister also performed Bhumi Pujan and inaugurated projects worth 26.71 crores and tweeted that in the 75th year of independence, the lost 308-year-old glory of Islamnagar is returning. Now it will again be known as Jagdishpur.

The same Bhopal MP Pragya Thakur said that at present there are some such names in the capital Bhopal which will be changed in the coming days. I have the complete list of all the names of Nawabkal. I will write a letter regarding that also. Apart from this, she has demanded that the Sanatan Board should also be formed in the same way as the Waqf Board.
