CM Soren on day-to-day firing in Ranchi: 'Crime in every situation...'

Ranchi: CM Hemant Soren on Friday expressed concern over the firing incident that took place in the open at Morhabadi ground in Ranchi on Thursday and directed the police officials not to let off the culprits involved in the case under any circumstances. CM Hemant Soren today held a review meeting with senior police and administrative officers at the CM's residential office on Kanke Road and directed that law and order should be maintained in all situations in the state and crime should be stopped in every situation. Giving strict instructions to the officers, the CM said, "Strictest legal action should be ensured against the culprits.''

In the high-level meeting, the CM directed the officers to identify and deal with the police professional culprits strictly and the police should be sensitive and prompt to control crime in the state. The CM said that maintaining law and order is an important responsibility of the state government. He said that with the tightening of crime control and law and order, the pace of ongoing development works in the state will increase and the real benefits of the schemes will be available to the people.

The high-level review meeting was attended by state Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Director General of Police Neeraj Sinha, Principal Secretary-cum-Home Department to cm Rajiv Arun Ekka, Municipal Commissioner Mukesh Kumar, Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police Surendra Kumar Jha and other officials.
