New Delhi: People are constantly struggling with the rising prices of cooking gas and petroleum. Today, the prices of CNG and PNG have increased once again. In fact, today Gujarat Gas has increased the prices of CNG and PNG by 5 percent. These increased prices have come into effect in Gujarat.

Now customers will have to pay Rs 78.52 for 1 kg of CNG in Gujarat. At the same time, the price of PNG has reached Rs 50.43 SCM (Standard Cubic Meter). Both gas prices have been increased by 5 percent. Gujarat Gas, on the other hand, has cut industrial gas prices by Rs 7 per SCM.

On the first day of the year, the prices of commercial LPG were increased across the country. However, it did not have an impact on domestic cooking gas. The issue of the continuous rise in prices of petroleum products was raised in the winter session of Parliament. Minister of State for Petroleum Rameshwar Teli had said on behalf of the government that the price of gas is decided on many bases. He said that the government has taken several steps to control it. According to the Minister of State, from January 2021 to November 2022, the price of gas in the international market increased by 327 percent. But in India, there was only an 84 percent increase. The prices of commercial LPG cylinders were increased by Rs 25 across the country. From January 1, 2023, the price of commercial LPG in Delhi has been increased to Rs 1,769. Government oil companies review gas prices on the first day of every month. The price of commercial gas has increased not only in Delhi but in the whole country.
