Jaipur: Shekhawati in Rajasthan has a record-breaking winter. Fatehpur in Sikar recorded a minimum temperature of 5 degrees, the lowest ever recorded in November within the last 7 years. Fatehpur has been the coldest for the third time across the state on Saturday 13th November this season. Fatehpur Agricultural Research Centre has revealed that the night temperature has been recorded at 5.5 degrees. Earlier on October 30, the night temperature was recorded at five degrees for the first time in 9 years.

According to the Centre's weather report, the season has recorded the lowest temperature in 7 years for the first time in 7 years on the night of November 12-13. Earlier in 2014, the night temperature at the centre was recorded at 5.8 degrees. According to the MET department report, Chittorgarh was the second coldest place in the state after Fatehpur with a temperature of 8.9 degrees Celsius.

According to weather experts, the coolness at night is high due to persistent dry weather. According to a weather report by Fatehpur Agricultural Research Centre, the temperature dropped by 1.9 degrees on Friday, suddenly, to 5.9 degrees on November 12, after temperatures reached 13 degrees on October 31 and November 1. According to experts' estimates, the temperature may drop further in the coming days. Coming to the maximum temperature, all districts of Rajasthan are recorded below normal temperatures. The maximum temperature in Bhilwara is around 28 degrees Celsius, which is 4.9 degrees below normal.
