Jhabua: In a shocking incident, condoms and contraceptive medicines were distributed in a make-up box to brides at a marriage convention organised under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Yojana here. The mass marriage convention was organized under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana at Thandala in Jhabua district. Here 296 couples attended this conference and tied the knot.  

In this program, condom packets along with contraceptive pills were distributed inside the makeup box given to the bride. It is being said that this is the first time that such materials have been distributed to brides. Actually, this marriage ceremony was organized by the Janpad Panchayat at Dussehra Maidan in Thandala Nagar. Instead of lipstick, bindia, powder, mascara and other items, condoms and contraceptive medicines were given in the makeup box given to the bride.

In this case, in-charge CEO Bhur Singh Rawat has said in his explanation that all this work belongs to the Health Department. There has been an uproar over brides being given such items in makeup boxes. Let us tell you that earlier the controversy under the CM Kanyadan Scheme in Dindori was also in the news. There were allegations that the girls had undergone a pregnancy test before the mass marriage. At that time, Congress MLA Omkar Markam had alleged that the girls attending the marriage ceremony were being harassed and defamed.
