Bhopal: Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, took a swipe at the Congress on Monday, alleging that the party, which spends millions on hero-heroines and events like the IIFA, is questioning the BJP for holding the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas Mahasammelan on the anniversary of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda's birth.

The chief minister said the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas Mahasammelan at Jamburi Maidan in Bhopal, The Congress wonders why the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas Mahasammelan is being held. It's been said that it's a waste of money. Some people are taking the BJP government to court, claiming that it is anti-tribal. They are now agitated. Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his decision to commemorate Lord Birsa Munda's birth anniversary as 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas,' describing it as a display of heroism by the country's tribal warriors.

"I appreciate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative to commemorate Lord Birsa Munda's birth anniversary as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas. It's our tribe warriors' legitimate display of gallantry. I congratulate the Prime Minister on accurately reflecting the contributions of innumerable liberation warriors " he said.
