Indore: Omicron, the new variant of Corona, has created an outcry across the country, meanwhile, a piece of relief news is coming out from Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. Actually, the fully eligible population in Indore has been fully vaccinated against corona infection. An officer gave this news on Thursday. Especially Indore city district headquarters has managed to get the top position in the National Sanitation Survey for the last 5 years.

In the most affected district of the state due to the global epidemic of corona infection, the achievement of complete vaccination was achieved within 11 months of the start of the vaccination campaign. District Vaccination Officer Dr Tarun Gupta said we ourselves had set a target to vaccinate 28 lakh 7,558 persons above the age of 18 years. Against the target, 28 lakh 18,304 eligible persons have received the second dose of the corona vaccine.

According to Tarun Gupta, the Health Department teams started a special drive from November 10 to test the people who were hesitant to take the second dose. According to government data, more than 50 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the district in the last 24 hours. Due to which the number of cases in Indore has crossed one lakh 53,686. Of these, 1,395 people died due to Corona infection so far.
