New Delhi: 25,404 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country, with the total number of corona cases in the country now at 3,32,89,579. However, the death toll due to the virus has gone up to 4,43,213 after the death of 339 patients. The Union Health Ministry said that active patients with corona infection in the country have now come down to 3.62 lakh.

The same Health Ministry reported that 37,127 people have also recovered from infection across the country in the last 24 hours, followed by corona recovery to 3,24,84,159. At present, the number of active cases is 3,62,207, which is 1.09 percent of the total cases. The daily positivity rate is 1.78 percent, which is less than 3 percent for the last 15 days. While the weekly positivity rate is 2.07 percent, it has remained below 3 percent for 81 days.
The Health Ministry said that the recovery rate in the country is now 97. It has become 58 percent. On the other hand, ICMR said that 14,30,891 samples were tested for corona infection in India on Monday, after which the number of sample testing in the country has now gone up to 54,44,44,967. The Ministry informed that 78,66,950 doses of the corona vaccine have been administered in the country in the last 24 hours, after which the total immunization figure has gone up to 75,22,38,324. The Health and Family Welfare Ministry reported on Tuesday that more than 72.77 crore doses of corona vaccine have been given to states and Union Territories so far.
