Baran: Communal riots erupted after two youths were stabbed in Baran district of Rajasthan. Uncontrollable mob set fire to dozens of vehicles and shops after the incident. To control the situation, curfew was imposed in the area by the administration, and internet service was also suspended. Lathi's charge was also used by the police to disperse the violent mob. 

Even after the efforts of the police, people of both communities continued to fight for long hours with poles, iron rods, and weapons in their hands. The mob also targeted government property. Talking to presspersons, the Superintendent of Police said that the situation is tense and heavy violence has been done on behalf of the mob. However, there were no reports of any casualties in the violence. According to sources, on Saturday, two youths were attacked and injured in Dharnawada by four-five youths from another community.

After which people demonstrated on the Dhanravada Circle regarding the arrest of the accused. Three accused were arrested by the police but the main accused was not arrested. The people started demanding the arrest of the accused to get the market closed, after which riots erupted. The agitated mob set fire to 10-12 shops and set fire to a private passenger bus, cars, and other vehicles as well as a fire station.
