New Delhi: The Income Tax Department has raided the office of the British media agency BBC located in the country's capital Delhi. Today i.e. on Tuesday (February 14) information was received that the Income Tax Department team has reached the BBC office located at 12 Khambha in Delhi. 10 to 12 officers have started the raid operation here, which is still going on.

Quoting sources, information has come to light that some electronic documents have been seized from BBC's office. Along with this, information about this action has been sent to the BBC headquarters in London. As of now, there is no response from the BBC or the Income Tax Department in this matter. But, this is believed to be certain that even with this action of the Income Tax Department, there will be a lot of political uproar in India and the opposition will surround the Modi government regarding this action.

Actually, this is because in the past also there was a lot of ruckus on the documentary made by BBC on PM Narendra Modi. Where the Government of India rejected this documentary as a 'propaganda piece' and banned its telecast. At the same time, India's opposition parties supporting BBC were demanding the lifting of the ban on the documentary.
