Delhi Police busts fake call centre claiming boy's birth through IVF technique

New Delhi: The team of Delhi Police and Health Department raided a call center at Karol Bagh on Monday. These call centres used to send women abroad by promising birth of boy child through IVF. The call centre used to charge around 9 lakh rupees from women for this work. According to the information, this call centre was mostly approached by women who wanted boy child.

These women were sent to Dubai, Singapore and Thailand. The call centre had tieups with around 100 IVF centres across the country. The centre was in operation for two years. It is being told that the owner of this call centre is an IIT engineer. The call centre employed about 300 employees. Police, Health Department and DM are investigating this case.

The Delhi Police came to know about this call centre when the police raided an IVF centre in Kirti Nagar. Police received a complaint that a gender check is done at an IVF center in Kirti Nagar. After which the police raided this IVF center. From there, the police came to know about the callcenter of Karol Bagh. Police is currently investigating the matter.
