New Delhi: There was a protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. On this matter, a special cell of the capital police has arrested a couple belonging to the terrorist organization Islamic State from Jamia Nagar in Delhi. The police claim that these people were involved in the conspiracy to carry out violence and attacks besides provoking the youth in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Both Jahanjeb Shami and his wife Hina Vashir Begum were arrested by Special Cell of Delhi Police from Jamia Nagar in Delhi last Sunday morning. On this matter, the police claim that the two terrorist organizations belong to the Khorasan module of the Islamic State and were involved in the conspiracy to carry out violence and attacks, besides provoking people in the ongoing protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act in India. According to the police, both husband and wife are residents of Kashmir.

Both of them came to Delhi after the internet stopped in Kashmir in August, took a rental house in Okhla Vihar in Jamia Nagar. Jahanjeb Shami has done B.Tech while Hina has done MCA. Hina also used to write in the Islamic State magazine. Both were planning suicide attacks in Delhi. He also had deep connections in the conspiracy to incite people and spread violence against the Citizenship Amendment Act across the country.
