NEW DELHI: In East Delhi's Shakarpur area on Thursday, Moments before taking the final pitch, a woman received gunshot wounds at her own wedding. Incident took place last night when a woman was shot in her leg by unidentified assailants during her wedding ceremony.

During the wedding rituals were on the move at the venue, an unknown person shot at the bride, injuring her led. People were immediately rushed to take her to the hospital for treatment.

The Case was reported to Police and the survivor was taken to nearby hospital for treatment. After the initial treatment, doctors said that the woman is out of danger and the wedding was resumed.

Later, Groom said to media that, "Don't know who the person was. Bullet brushed past her legs," During the preliminary probe, the Delhi Police said that the attacker was known by the bride. However, the groom said he was unable to identify the miscreant.

Undaunted by the entire episode, the woman proceeded with the imminent wedding and completed all the marriage rituals
