Shame on humanity, very henious act of crimr has come to light from Arunanchal Pradesh. A court in Arunachal Pradesh has sentenced a 35-year-old Assamese man to 20 years imprisonment for repeatedly raping his stepdaughter.

The sentence was carried out by a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offence) court in Arunachal Pradesh's West Kameng district. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on the prisoner, Bhawani Chetry, a resident of Assam's Biswanath district.

Between March 2020 and April 2021, Chetry raped his 14-year-old stepdaughter three times.  At Kelengteng village in Tawang,, the victim was raped three times in three different locations. Chetry had allegedly threatened her daughter with dire consequences if she told her mother about the ordeal.

The victim, on the other hand, informed her friends, who then alerted the residential school authorities. Bhawani Chetry, the prisoner, was detained in April of last year based on the victim's complaint.
