New Delhi: Today is the birth anniversary of India's brave Shiromani Maharana Pratap. On this day in 1540, Maharana was born on the Punyadhara of Mewar. If there is a mention of Maharana Pratap and the name of the battle of Haldighati fought by him does not come up, then the story of Mahapratapi Pratap seems to be somewhat incomplete. Till today, we have been reading in our history books that in the battle of Haldighati, the Maharana had shown indomitable bravery, but the victory went to the Mughal emperor Akbar, but now the pole of this false story has been opened. A study has revealed that the most famous Turdighati war in the medieval history of Rajasthan was not won by Akbar but by Maharana Pratap.

In this fierce war in the year 1576, Akbar had to retreat and finally the victory of Maharana Pratap. This claim was made on behalf of the Rajasthan government. The government has cited a recent study by historian Dr Chandrashekhar Sharma behind this. Dr Sharma, along with his research evidence, has termed Pratap as the winner of this war. It is worth mentioning that the fierce war that was considered to be inconclusive 446 years ago on the Dhara of Rajasthan till today (or in some places Akbar was said to be the winner), now the BJP government in Rajasthan is going to change its outcome. In fact, in the 2017 meeting of the Rajasthan University Syndicate, BJP MLA and state government representative Mohanlal Gupta raised the issue of Maharana Pratap's victory in this battle. He has demanded that Maharana Pratap's victory be mentioned in the college education curriculum, citing a study.

The research has been conducted by Dr Chandrashekhar Sharma, professor and historian of Meera Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur at Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University. Describing the contemporary copper letters of Maharana Pratap as the basis, Dr. Sharma has claimed the victory of maharana in the battle of Haldighati. According to Dr Sharma, on June 18, 1576, the battle of Haldighati took place between the Mewar's and the Mughals. So far the war has been said to be inconclusive. But in reality, in this war, Maharana Pratap had won. Dr. Sharma has submitted the evidence showing Vijay to the University of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth.

The result of the Hiltighati war between Maharana Pratap and the Mughal Emperor Akbar on June 18, 1576, has now come out after almost 450 years. Dr. Sharma in his study has submitted evidence relating to copper papers depicting the victory of Pratap at Janardanrai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University. According to him, for the next one year after the war, Maharana Pratap had issued leases of lands in the villages around Haldighati as copper cards. These were signed by Diwan Pratap of Eklingnath. At that time, only the king had the right to issue leases of land. The proof of copper papers claiming Pratap's victory has been submitted to Janardanrai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University.
