Ahmedabad: In a joint operation, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) along with the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) in Gujarat has nabbed a gang of Pakistani smugglers carrying a large quantity of drugs. These smugglers were trying to bring drugs to India in a boat called Al Sakar. The police squad recovered 50 kg of heroin from them. Its price is being told 350 crores in the global market. A total of 6 crew members were present on the boat. The police squad has arrested them and they are being questioned.

According to the information, ATS and ICG had received information from secret sources that a large quantity of drugs was being brought to India on a boat on the Pakistani side. On this, by planning a joint operation, the personnel of both organizations took action and caught them. The boat has been taken to Jakhau for further investigation. The boat was being brought to India through the Arabian Sea. ATS and ICGs have carried out such actions 6 times in the last one year.

Earlier, the ICG and ATS had received information from sources on the night of September 13 that a boat was coming from Pakistan towards India. After this, they jointly took action and sent two boats for surveillance. When the boat appeared, they gestured for it to stop, and after some time the boat was taken under control. 40 kg of heroin was seized from it. Its price was said to be Rs 200 crore in the global market. This boat was also taken to Jakhau for further investigation.
